History
Henry has an art and interior design magazine (Eye on the Mirror) that he built up over the last five years and is now bored of. He has an expensive, sterile house in Croydon, a small yacht at St Katherine’s Docks, a turbulent love life, and a questionable past.
He comes from old money, the kind that used to run England and through it, much the world. He went to Harrow, and only just escaped Oxford. His father made his fortune investing his father's money, and that was supposed to be Henry's future as well. He resisted it, trying different kinds of jobs from roadie to club manager before finally coming home to roost. The paper was his last hurrah; really, for the past few years, his income has been coming from hedge funds and networking through his father's old business buddies.
His father is now retired but both his parents are alive and well and living in Kent, and he has a younger sister, Gail.
He has a small blue amateur tattoo of a lightning bolt on the inside of his right arm.
Personality
Henry is tall and lanky with dark eyes and light brown hair with ginger undertones. He is relatively fit, eats well and particularly dresses well. He was born August 21, dislikes dogs, and is usually trying to quit smoking.
The rest of him is an overly complicated collection of neuroses and live-wire nerves. He exudes an aura of confidence but beneath is a mean, petty, touchy twat. Despite spending most his twenties slumming in the edges of the music industry, he is also undoubtedly classist. He tends to drown himself in expensive alcohol, sometimes drugs, rather than feel an emotion. If he has any redeeming feature, it is that he is protective of those he considers his own.
Family
Mother - Anne
Father - William
Sister - Gail
Details:
- Anne used to run a gallery and breed horses, but had to give it up because of back issues.
- Gail is a vet, once estranged from her parents but reconciled in the mid-2000s, and now has her practice in Kent to stay close to them. She has an English sheepdog that Henry loathes.
- Henry used to be a choirboy in his home village's church, until his voice dropped; and though the pastor offered to train his voice for the adult choir, a boy called Trev said singing was for pussies. Henry has never sang since.
